These days, it's hard to find anything on the news, in social media - or anything newly published that isn't (or might be) AI generated - or at least AI altered. What was virtually unknown to most consumers a couple of months ago has now become mainstream - with many of us enjoying the convenience and assistance that AI programs bring us. And like many new advancements in technology, AI comes with a degree of skepticism, suspicions and for some, down-right fear of what our world is becoming as a result of these technology advancements.
For the Church, there seem to be a greater number of concerns - and justifiably so. Although like many other advancements in technology, there are a number of benefits afforded our society. But like most other technologies, there requires an awareness of how any of these technologies can - and will - be used against the Body by the enemy.
At PREP Ministries, we are frequently asked about ‘our take' on AI and what we feel that believers should do about it. We are purposed to continue to learn from the experts, prayerfully assess fresh information and then as responsibly as we know how, share with our like-minded constituents.
Dr Dave Rolston, one of our own community, was recently featured with other believing AI experts and the attached documentary is offered today as an introduction to what we feel will become a growing and more regular discussion on AI and its influence on the Church. Watch it today in advance of a greater media 'push' expected within the next week or so - and then keep an eye out for more information that we'll be sharing in the weeks and months to come.
